The King of the surf guitar, Dick Dale has died at the age of 81.
Dick Dale defined surf guitar and surf music. He influenced a generation of great guitar players such as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Surf music will never be the same without the pop culture icon, Dick Dale wearin’ his headband as he was tearin’ up that left handed Aztec Gold Fender Stratocaster.
“Better shred than dead.”
“Dale pioneered a musical genre that Beach Boy Brian Wilson and others
would later bring to fruition.”
