I wanna know how many tests given since the beginning of this shit storm were false positives and so conveniently skewed the numbers for Fauci and Company!
The NFL players and personnel who initially tested positive for the coronavirus Saturday at a lab in New Jersey have been “confirmed negative and informed” after their samples were retested, BioReference Laboratories said Monday.
According to ESPN, 11 teams and 77 individuals were affected.
All 77 of those individuals have been cleared by the NFL, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports’ Mike Jones. The person requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

“On August 22, BioReference Laboratories reported an elevated number of positive COVID-19 PCR test results for NFL players and personnel at multiple clubs,” said Jon R. Cohen, M.D., Executive Chairman of BioReference Laboratories. “The NFL immediately took necessary actions to ensure the safety of the players and personnel. Our investigation indicated that these were most likely false positive results, caused by an isolated contamination during test preparation in the New Jersey laboratory. Reagents, analyzers and staff were all ruled out as possible causes and subsequent testing has indicated that the issue has been resolved. All individuals impacted have been confirmed negative and informed.”
The flood of positive tests prompted the league to investigate the results. The league also conducted point-of-care tests that came back negative, according to ESPN.
The league uses about a half-dozen labs to process the tests for the 32 teams, and none of the other labs reported any dramatic spikes.
According to the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols, the players who sat out Sunday are expected to return Monday. Players can return after two negative tests if his positive test is presumed false.
In a statement Sunday, the NFL declared that it is working with BioReference in launching an immediate investigation. During that time the teams affected went into emergency response mode as outlined in the league’s protocols.
Since training camps opened, the league has had an estimated 150,000 tests conducted on players, coaches and staff, with such an overwhelming amount of negative results that the number of players league-wide placed on the COVID-19 reserve list has dwindled to single digits.
