Mark Kelly, retired astronaut and husband of former Arizona Congresswoman, Gabby Giffords, announced he is running as a Democrat for the US Senate seat previously held by John McCain.

Martha McSally now holds the seat after being appointed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey.
