Add South Dakota to the list of states which no longer requires permits for gun owners to be legally able to carry and conceal firearms. Newly elected Republican Governor, Kristi Noem signed legislation to allow residents of the state to carry concealed as long as that resident is legally able to do so.
“Our Founding Fathers believed so firmly in our right to bear arms that they enshrined it into the Constitution,” the governor tweeted. “This constitutional carry legislation will further protect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding South Dakotans.”
